The reason why I watched The Way Back because of the true story it tells--the terror in communism, the optimism of the people to bring democracy back, stories behind political prisoners, the cruelties of the armies and the government, the oppressed people, and of course, survival and the love for freedom--all packed in one movie which was inspired from Slavomir Rawicz "The Long Walk". What a tear-jerking and rousing film. A must-watch to those who thought of having no other way to pass through the "Kremlin" of life.
